Coolant calculator

How much antifreeze and water you need to fill the cooling system, by machine model or by capacity.

1. Cooling system capacity

Or enter the capacity from your machine's manual:

2. Site conditions

3. Antifreeze

Before you fill

  • Use distilled or deionized water. Tap water leaves mineral scale that clogs the core tubes.
  • Do not mix different coolant types (for example, an extended life coolant with a conventional one).
  • Above 60 % antifreeze, freeze protection gets worse and the coolant carries heat less efficiently.
  • Values are for ethylene glycol antifreeze, the most common. Always confirm with your machine's manual and the coolant's data sheet.
  • At altitude, water boils at a lower temperature: keep the radiator pressure cap in good condition.

Capacities come from the manufacturers' public spec sheets, as shown in the machine explorer.
